Southport Cinderella Softball - Mission
Statements
The purpose of the Southport Cinderella Softball
League is to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere where girls can
learn the fundamentals of fast pitch softball. We promote the
development of a girl's athletic ability, teach teamwork and
sportsmanship, and most of all let the girls have fun.
Simply -- it's all about the
girls!
2013
Southport Cinderella Season
February is registration month
for the league. Registration will be on February 8th from 5:30pm -
7:00pm at Pine City School in the gym. Also February 15th & 22nd
at Broadway Middle School Gym from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Saturday
February 16th & 23rd at the Chapel Park Community Center from
9am-Noon. Practices begin in early April.
The spring season culminates in closing ceremonies in early-June,
with all teams playing their final games.
Tournament players are selected and begin practicing
together in June, and play in tournaments in the weekends that
follow the spring season.

Q: We don't live in
Southport. Can we still play in this league?
A: Cinderella Softball
has no boundaries. Girls are welcome to play for the Southport
League regardless of where they live.
Q: What ages do girls
need to be to play?
A: Girls must be at least
four and not yet 17 as of January 1st, 2013.
Q: Where are the
practices and games held?
A: Practices and home
games will be at Chapel Park in Pine City. Additional games
will be played with other leagues, such as West Elmira, Big Flats,
Elmira Heights, etc., both at our fields and at theirs.
Q: How much does
registration cost?
A: One player is $30, two
from the same family are $50. Additional players are $20 with
a $70 maximum per family.
Q: What equipment do the
girls need?
A: Each girl must have a
softball glove. Optional equipment are cleats, helmets (must
have a face mask and include NOCSAE sticker), and bats (ASA
approved.) Sneakers, shorts, or comfortable pants may be
worn. Team shirts will be provided for games.
